The service has been established since 1994 and transformed into a new community care model in 2003 to develop services for the adults with intellectual disability. This model is a “people-oriented” one using the concept of “learning through life”. Services are provided based on individual needs. It helps them live in the self-directed approach, and at the same time strengthen the skills of their carers. Ultimately, the service aims to let people with intellectual disability and their family members enjoy their lives in the community.
