From June 1984, the Salvation Army started a pilot hostel project in Yue Wan Estate, provides residential services for the male who aged from 15 to 21 years old. Temporary residential care provides to them due to various factors (such as family, behavioral or emotional problems), and temporarily unable to receive proper care. This programmes was funded by the Social Welfare Department and turned to a regular services since 1986. Guding by our staff, youths are empowered to manage their own time activities, personal matters, friends and money management. Cooperating with other youths, they are encouraged to complete tasks such as laundry, cleaning, cooking and simple maintenance work.
