Distributing Warm Clothing to Street Sleepers
back
As the temperature starts to drop, around 30 volunteers from the Rotary Club and Sai Kung District Community Centre Child Development Fund Project visited street sleepers with The Salvation Army social workers in Yau Tsim Mong District today (11 November 2016), sending them warm regards and distributing warm clothing and hot soup.

The clothing was collected from the public and corporates through The Salvation Army Recycling Programme. Such a gift transfer volunteer activity not only demonstrates the spirit of resource sharing, but also allows the needy to feel care and love from the society.

The Salvation Army hopes to arouse public awareness about the situation of street sleepers through visitation. Public support is vital to enable the Army to help the needy reintegrate into the society and lead a new life.
