The Salvation Army Orienteering 2016
Navigate around Nathan Road at Night to Help People in Darkness
back
Nathan Road links up the most busy districts in Kowloon Peninsula, and the surrounding area provides a hiding place for the marginalised people. This year’s Salvation Army Orienteering will be held at night for the first time in order to draw more attention to those struggling in their dark period.

The Salvation Army Orienteering is a charitable city challenge which requires teamwork, wisdom, techniques and strength. With maps, participating teams search for the preset checkpoints for scores in Yau Tsim Mong and Sham Shui Po Districts at night. The checkpoints will be scattered in the service areas of the Army, such as the hostel for the homeless and the hot spots of young night drifters and street sleepers.

The Army has been serving the vulnerable groups in society, such as the youth at risk who have lost their direction of life and street sleepers who need medical treatments and care. This year, the proceeds of the event will go to support our services for street sleepers and young night drifters.
