back
The Salvation Army has been serving people in Hong Kong for more than 85 years. The continuous support from The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the public is crucial for the delivery of its services.

This afternoon (23 February), General André Cox and Commissioner Silvia Cox met with Mr C Y Leung, Chief Executive of The Government of the HKSAR to express appreciation for the Hong Kong Government’s partnership with The Salvation Army over the years, anticipating future cooperation in poverty alleviation and elderly services, facilitating opportunities for men and women, boys and girls to reach their full potential.

General Cox, Commissioner Cox and Dr David K. P. Li, (Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army Hong Kong and Macau Command), gathered with friends, corporate partners and major donors in an Appreciation Reception at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Secretary for Administration, The Government of the HKSAR, graciously joined as the Guest of Honour, as many gathered to hear life transforming stories of Hong Kong people. The multi-faceted services of The Salvation Army are generously supported by Hong Kong people. The Salvation Army values all its partners in building a brighter future.
